Toni Dimitrova openly stood behind the idea of Burgas hosting Eurovision, stating that the seaside city is fully prepared to host one of the biggest musical events in the world.
“It’s better for them to eat fish on the sea here,” the singer joked, stressing that the foreign guests will have the opportunity not only to enjoy the competition, but also to feel the atmosphere of Burgas.
According to her, there is already real euphoria in the seaside city about the possibility of hosting Eurovision. In an interview with “120 Minutes” on bTV, she revealed that she noticed activity around the sports hall and that local residents strongly believed in the idea.
“Everyone in Burgas has gone crazy. They want this “Eurovision” at any price. We are working on the issue,” shared the performer.
Toni Dimitrova is adamant that the city has all the necessary conditions – a modern hall, an airport, hotels and impressive sea views. According to her, the guests of the contest must walk along the main street, reach the sea, cross the emblematic bridge and feel the magic of the Sea Garden.
“Burgas is lovely and I hope they will love it too if they come,” said the singer.
In the conversation, she also touched on her upcoming concerts under the title “Happiness”. The name of the tour was born after a question from her daughter when she was happiest. This made her think that true happiness lies in people, music, love and trust.
“Sometimes I get the address wrong, but I keep looking for it,” the singer admitted.
Toni Dimitrova remains true to herself and does not hide that she prefers to go “against the wind”, because that is what makes life more interesting. And when it comes to Burgas, she is convinced that the city has a soul and charm capable of winning over each of its guests.
