Unexpected ending in TA3. What really happens behind the scenes of television and what is behind the presenter’s departure?
The television management was interested in the journalist Detářová continuing to work on television.
According to information published yesterday (June 1), Nikola Detário’s departure from TA3 was not a sudden impulse, but the result of long-term pressure and the gradual narrowing of the space for her independent journalistic work.
According to Detário, the turning point came after she started conducting political conversations in a more critical and fair tone. She encountered the same scenario in the Pravda newspaper, where her political show was first suspended after initial signs of dissatisfaction from the management and later never resumed.
TA3 advocates professionalism and announces program changes
The management of the TA3 news television responded to the publicized information and statements of the outgoing presenter with an official statement for Aktuality.sk, in which it emphatically defends its current position on the Slovak media market.
“TA3 is a long-respected news television in Slovakia, which builds its position on professional, balanced and trustworthy news,” reports the commercial news television for Aktuality.sk.
The management of the television adds that when creating any content, it strictly follows the applicable legislation, broadcasting rules and internal editorial standards.
Session changes which Detário hosted, interprets management as a natural part of the operation of television.
According to them, the dramaturgical and content setting of individual formats is fully within the competence of the responsible managers.
“Changes in the broadcast or format of the shows are made on an ongoing basis with the aim of strengthening their quality, comprehensibility, viewership and relevance for viewers,” the commercial broadcaster explained to Aktuality.sk.
