The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will receive Prime Minister Rumen Radev next week, a spokesman for the EC announced at the institution’s regular press conference. The meeting will be on Thursday (May 28). It will be the first between von der Leyen and Radev after his election as prime minister.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister is expected to have other meetings with the heads of international institutions in Brussels.

This week, Radev took his first trip abroad as prime minister and met in Berlin with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
At the beginning of the month, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Velislava Petrova, announced that already in the first days of taking office, the Prime Minister also received invitations from his Italian colleague, Giorgia Meloni, from the French President, Emmanuel Macron, and from the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
