More than 1,000 experts from the tourism industry compiled a list of the best beaches in the world for 2026, reports the Independent. The assessment took into account criteria such as natural uniqueness, level of privacy, water clarity, number of tourists and the overall “perfect holiday experience”.
Entalula Beach, Philippines
Entalula Beach, located on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, takes first place. Expert Simon Calder praised it for its unique natural landscape: white sand, clear water and towering limestone cliffs that create an almost “cinematic” look. The beach is considered one of the most pristine and peaceful on the list, according to the Independent.

Fteri Beach, Greece
Second place goes to Fteri Beach in Greece, located in a secluded bay on the island of Kefalonia. Surrounded by high cliffs, it seems almost hidden from the outside world. White pebbles mix with sand, and the water has a bright turquoise color. Access is difficult – you have to climb a steep path or take a boat, which adds to its peaceful atmosphere.

Wharton Beach, Western Australia
Third place goes to Wharton Beach, which is one of the most remote beaches on the list. Located in Western Australia, it is known for its absolute tranquility and lack of infrastructure. This place is valued for its wildlife, long stretches of white sand and the opportunity to observe marine life in its natural environment.

Beach on Nosy Iranja Island, Madagascar
Madagascar’s Nosy Iranja Island is ranked fourth for its unique sandbar that connects two islets at low tide, as well as its abundance of marine life, including nesting sea turtles.
East Beach on Vomo Island, Fiji
Fifth place in the ranking goes to East Beach on the island of Vomo, Fiji. It is a calm tropical beach with ideal swimming conditions, with soft sand and practically no waves. Vomo Island is considered a premium destination, yet retains a sense of privacy, making it one of the most peaceful beaches.
Also included in the top ten are Shoal Bay East in Anguilla, Dhigurah in the Maldives, Playa Baladra in Mexico, Koh Rong in Cambodia and Donald Duck Bay in Thailand.
According to the ranking, Greece, Thailand and Australia are the best beach destinations in 2026, with beaches from each of these 3 countries included in the list.
