Wizz Air continues its rapid growth in Slovakia. It connects 35 popular destinations in Europe and beyond with three Slovak airports – in Bratislava, Košice and Poprad-Tatry airport.

Wizz Air, one of the leading low-cost airlines in Europe, is consolidating its strong position in Europe and Slovakia.

Today, Wizz Air flies from Slovakia to 35 destinations in 15 countries, has four Airbus aircraft at its base in Bratislava and can boast of 99.87% of successfully completed flights. In 2026, it plans to increase the capacity to 3.1 million places, which is almost a fivefold increase compared to 2025. New attractive routes are being added from Bratislava, which expand the possibilities of summer vacations, trips and spontaneous long weekends. Popular summer destinations Nice, Podgorica and Mykonos are among the latest additions.

The Riviera, the Balkans and the Greek islands, within easy reach from Slovakia

Nice is the ideal gateway to the French Riviera. It combines the Mediterranean atmosphere, culture, cuisine and relaxation by the sea. Visitors can stroll along the famous Promenade des Anglais, explore the colorful historic streets or enjoy the view from the top of the Château. The city is a great choice for those looking for a combination of a beach holiday, French charm and easy trips around the Cote d’Azur.

Podgorica offers a different kind of travel experience. It offers visitors lush nature, wine regions and the authentic atmosphere of Montenegro. Just a short distance from the city lies Lake Skadar, one of the most important natural monuments of the region, known for its rich fauna and rare species of birds, including pelicans. The surroundings of the lake are also connected to wine regions such as Crmnica, Komani and Bjelopavlići, making Podgorica an attractive destination for lovers of local cuisine and wine.

Mykonos is one of the most famous Greek island destinations and is a symbol of the Cyclades. It attracts visitors with its typical white and blue architecture, narrow streets, iconic windmills and the romantic district of Little Venice right by the sea. In addition to beaches and a lively environment, it also offers a cultural dimension – the nearby island of Delos, which can be reached by a short boat ride from Mykonos, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The summer season also brings with it a new emphasis on passenger comfort. Wizz Air is the first European airline to offer a “Disruption Assistance” service in cooperation with HTS, which customers can add when booking. On the day of travel, the system proactively monitors the flight and, in the event of a legitimate delay of two or more hours or flight cancellation, offers a simple rebooking – including flights with other airlines – or a 100% refund if the customer is not satisfied with the offer and decides to fly on the original flight. This service extends the existing customer care of Wizz Air and does not affect the rights of passengers according to EU regulation no. 261.
