The death of Russian manager Alexei Korshenko raises questions
At the beginning of June, 57-year-old Alexey Koršenko was found hanged on the balcony of a Moscow apartment. However, the public learned about the death of the ex-director of the company that manages some terminals at Russian airports only later. While authorities say he hanged himself, there are concerns that someone may have helped him pass to the other world.
To Prigozhin’s flight
According to one of the Telegram channels, Korshenko could know the details of the service intervention in the machine before Yevgeny Prigozhin’s last flight. However, the Telegram account does not provide evidence for this claim.
Independent Russian-language media reports that they handled the private flight of Prigozhin, the former leader of the Wagner mercenary group, through the terminal of Moscow’s Sheremetevo airport.
The oligarch, who was once nicknamed Putin’s cook, later became a fierce critic of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and attempted an armed rebellion against the Kremlin, lost his life three years ago in the crash of a plane bound for St. Petersburg.
Koršenko was fired from his managerial position at the airport three weeks before his hanged body was found. Close friends of the deceased do not believe the claims of suicide. When journalists tried to contact Koršenko’s relatives on Tuesday, they did not respond to phone calls or messages through a chat application.
Since 2022, more than two dozen top managers have died in Russia under unusual circumstances.
