Radev also commented on the objections of the opposition that the rule limits their voice. “I do not share these concerns, but still the people’s representatives must decide how the National Assembly should work,” added Radev.
The renegotiation of the contract with “Botash”
It became clear from Radev’s words that the renegotiation of the contract with Botash was requested by the Turkish side. “Let our representatives return and then we will have more information,” the Prime Minister also said.
The deal with the Turkish company was concluded in 2023 by the caretaker government of Galab Donev, broadcast by the then president Rumen Radev.
The contract is not beneficial for Bulgaria, because until 2036 Bulgaria owes about half a million euros per day for reserved liquefied gas transmission capacity, regardless of whether it is used or not. Borisov praised the government for attempts to renegotiate “Botash” (VIDEO)
