Prime Minister Rumen Radev promised to unravel the cases with Petyo Euroto, Martin Bojanov-Notary – this became clear from his statement to the media in the parliament. “This issue is very complicated, unfortunately nothing has been decided so far. Both with Petyo Evroto and with Martin Bojanov-Notary, but these cases must be unraveled,” Radev is emphatic. For this purpose, according to him, an independent Supreme Judicial Council will be needed, as well as a new independent chief prosecutor.

He related all this to the procedures and criteria for the new SJC and urged them to be very careful. “That’s why I hope that there will be a meaningful debate on the Law on Judiciary,” the Prime Minister also said.
However, Radev stated that the independence of the judicial system must be preserved.
Peevski’s private jets
Radev also answered in connection with the information about private flights of the leader of the DPS, Delyan Peevski, sanctioned by the USA and Great Britain. “There will be a detailed check on how these flights were carried out. So that it is clear about the destination, about the relevant planes, that we are aware of the costs and, above all, how it is paid,” said Radev. “Democratic Bulgaria” wants a parliamentary committee to check Peevski’s property
Will congratulate Sarafov if he leaves
Radev answered a question about whether he would congratulate Sarafov if he left the judicial system, and his answer was: “Of course.”
He also reported how long Borislav Sarafov held the position of acting chief prosecutor in violation of the law.
