Her five-year term begins on Wednesday (May 20). The appointment decree of Fašiangová was officially handed over on Tuesday by Tibor Bernaťák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture (MK) of the Slovak Republic. TASR was informed about this by the director of the communication department of the MK Petra Demková.
The minister appointed Fašiangová again to the position due to the end of her previous work, the achieved results and the presented vision of the development of the institution. “The Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic positively perceives the high artistic quality of the Nová scéna Theatre’s musical titles, their considerable popularity with the audience and also the organization’s excellent economic results,” explained Demková.
MK reported that the theater managed to increase annual sales on the domestic stage from 2.48 million euros in 2024 to 2.62 million euros in 2025. The share of own sales in the total resources of the theater is 45 percent. Attendance at the theater increased from 98,619 to 99,314 spectators in the given periods.
“The founder expects from the statutory body the continuation of the system and project management of the organization, the expansion of cooperation with other institutions within the founding scope of the Ministry of Culture, the strengthening of multi-source financing, the spread of musical art in the regions in agreement with license holders and the implementation of budget-funded investment activities, especially in the area of sound and lighting technology renewal,” concluded Demková.
