Iron Maiden will be featured in the unique music documentary Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition
Fifty years ago, they started playing in the pubs of East London and gradually worked their way up to the world’s biggest stages. They have remained on them to this day. The band Iron Maiden rightfully belongs to the biggest legends of heavy metal with millions of fans all over the world. The creators of the documentary Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition gained access to a huge amount of archive material from which they created a film that is a must-see for all fans of them. Guides through the band’s past and present are the most competent, i.e. its former and current members, but also famous fans such as actor Javier Bardem or Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Scott Ian (Anthrax) and others. However, it wouldn’t be a proper music documentary if there wasn’t a lot of music in it too. Good, hard, metal. Most of the band’s key songs will be heard in the film, and the creators didn’t forget the band’s famous mascot Eddie in the original animated sequences.

The band Iron Maiden was founded in 1975 by bass guitarist Steve Harris and gradually became one of the most famous bands in the world. Since their self-titled debut album in 1980, they have released 17 studio albums, 13 live albums and 47 singles, selling over 100 million copies worldwide. They played nearly 2,500 concerts in 64 countries and were flown to some of them by Ed Force One, a Boeing 757 and later a 747 piloted by singer Bruce Dickinson. They won a Grammy and a Brit Award and many other awards. They recently joined the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd with their own series of Royal Mail stamps. Their beer, Trooper Beer, which is now 12 years old, is distributed in 68 countries, including six local variants in the US, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Sweden and Australia. 2025 marked the band’s official 50th anniversary, celebrated with a two-year Run For Your Lives world tour and a range of events and products, including their first official hardcover visual book on the band’s history, Infinite Dreams.
The music documentary can be an event for all fans, all the more so because the band will visit Bratislava live on May 30 and together with the band Anthrax will prepare a monumental event at the largest stadium in Slovakia, where epic heavy metal meets uncompromising trash energy. The concert is part of their Run For Your Lives tour and will offer a unique not only auditory, but also visual experience, when the action on stage will be adapted to each specific song. When it sounds feel the tension of war, pri the stage turns into a battlefield, envelops the stadium in a dark, almost gothic mood. The projections respond to the rhythm, dynamics and mood of the songs. Iron Maiden have been building their own visual identity for years and sticking to it with a precision that is admirable these days.
